The Q5+ is extremely soft when it comes to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it a great choice for homes that have a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is an area that many robot vacuums that are less expensive do not excel in. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is fantastic and has very few missing in corners and on walls.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled with a handful of buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. With the app you can begin and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map, or change the labels of rooms.

Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's the few robovacs I've tested that do an excellent job of cleaning up debris from plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, which means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the home. It's not able navigate stairs as well as some competitors, either, and it doesn't have an dock that allows you to set up a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.
Although it doesn't provide the same amount of cleaning options available in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those seeking a great all-round mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the premium price price.
If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of alternatives available. A lot of eufy models are considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance, is cheaper and offers an identical experience on the app with more features like stair climbing, a full-function dock, and superior overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.
